Facebook has introduced Instant Games for Messanger and News Feed

Facebook has come up with instant games which can be played without installing any app. On 29th November 2016, in their developer blog FB announced it.

Facebook has a huge number of users for Messanger. The count is 1 billion. On the other hand Facebook alone has user base of 1.79 billion. There is a huge possibility that this new feature will be loved by many. At present Instant Games is available in 30 countries. These games are available for devices iOS 8 and Android v5 or later versions.

These games are actually HTML5 games which can be played in any modern browers- be it mobile or desktop. FB might have some wrapping option to be enabled it for Messanger or FB News Feed. This kind of initiative was taken by Amazon before where one can upload an HTML5 app for Amazon stores. Opera also have a HTML5 Store. However, for Facebook it will not be just pure HTML5 game. To be enabled for Messanger, there might need some change in files from developer end.

The program is at closed beta stage for developers. Developers can register with their HTML5 games and Facebook team will contact developer for any further actions. At present, some big Game Companies are tied up with Facebook for the new venture. In future we may see many developers come up with many such ‘instant games’!
